He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Isaiah also wrote: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. Isaiah wrote, “This is what the Sovereign Lord.says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength’” ( Isaiah 30:15).ġ4. Hanani told King Asa, “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” ( 2 Chronicles 16:9).ġ3. Samuel anointed the new king and “from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David” ( 1 Samuel 16:13) and “he became more and more powerful, because the Lord God Almighty was with him” ( 2 Samuel 5:10 and 1 Chronicles 11:9).ġ2. Asaph sang, “My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart he is mine forever” ( Psalm 73:26). The Sons of Korah sang, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” ( Psalm 46:1).ġ0. The Lord is the strength of his people” ( Psalm 28:7-8).ĩ. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. David also sang, “The Lord is my strength and my shield my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. David sang, “I love you, Lord, my strength” ( Psalm 18:1).Ĩ. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all” ( 1 Chronicles 29:11-12).ħ. Wealth and honor come from you you are the ruler of all things. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom you are exalted as head over all. Look to the Lord and his strength seek his face always” ( 1 Chronicles 16:10-11).Ĥ. David wrote, “Glory in his holy name let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Do not be afraid do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” ( Joshua 1:9).ģ. The Lord told Joshua: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Abraham “did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God” ( Romans 4:20).Ģ. The key: frequently ask (don’t wait for a crisis!). They talk about God’s strength and power for those who rely on Him alone. Thankfully, God gladly and repeatedly offers His strength to us!Ĭonsider these 25 inspiring, faith-building scriptures. Unlike Samson, we need to frequently ask for some of the Lord God’s infinite strength, almightiness, and omnipotence. Samson never asked, until a minute or two before he died, “Please, God, strengthen me” ( Judges 16:28). If only he had loved God and God’s Word and relied on God’s power. Samson in the Bible may have been fabulously strong, but he was ridiculously unqualified to teach a kindergarten Sunday school class. ![]()
